Things go from bad to worse—much worse—for Adam and Barbara. Not only have they died in a freak accident, but they’re stuck sharing their home with the new family that just moved. Desperate to get rid of them, they call on the one soul that can help—or will he. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Beetlejuice”.

· Otho arrives at the house and climbs through the front window. He knocks the curtains and blinds off as he’s climbing in. Otho is holding onto part of the curtains in his left hand as he stands up. He’s still holding onto them in the close-up when he says to Delia, “Of course you are”. The scene cuts to a farther view as he starts to walk away and the curtain is gone, his hands are empty.

· The workers are moving Delia’s statuary. In the far view, Delia and the supervising worker can be seen descending the outside steps and are over halfway down. It cuts to a closer view when Delia says, “If you can tell me what you do…”, the two are descending the steps again.

· Adam and Barbara are in the attic as Lydia tries to unlock the door and are looking through the book for help. Adam starts to draw a door on the brick wall. He draws the doorknob on the left side of the door and backs away before he realizes he has to knock. He knocks three times and the view of the door (from behind Adam and Barbara) shows the doorknob is missing.

· Also during this scene, the door opens as Adam and Barbara look on. The view from behind shows Adam’s arms are down, by his side, with nothing in his right hand. It cuts to a close-up, front view and Adam’s hands are up, in front of him, with his left hand holding “The Handbook for the Recently Deceased” and his right hand is holding the chalk he used to draw the door.

· Before walking through the door, Adam places the handbook and chalk on top of a table covered with a white sheet. The chalk is next to the book. Lydia breaks into the room and the chalk is placed on top of the book.

· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! At the end of the movie, Beetlejuice is in the waiting room. He yells, “There goes Elvis”, and switches numbers with the headshrinker sitting beside him. The paper falls between the headshrinker’s legs. In the front view, as he picks up the paper, it’s next to him on the seat, near his left leg.

“Beetlejuice” (1988) stars Michael Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Jeffrey Jones, Glenn Shadix, Sylvia Sidney, Robert Goulet, Maree Cheatham, Tony Cox, and Annie McEnroe. It runs 92 minutes and is rated PG for violence and gore, mild language, and frightening and intense scenes.
